remora pro help

i have a remora pro with a rio 1400 yesterday i put a sac of chemi pure in the inside of my remora on the side were the water comes back out to my tank....when i came home today there was 6 gallons of water on my floor and of course most of it went down to my landlords house:arg: so after cleaning my house and his house i fixed everything up i then put the chemi pure in the middle of my skimmer under the cup were the bubbles come up i would like some input on this because i want the chemi pure in there i dont want to use the optinal skimmer box i had it for a week and i didnt like it. thanku

The media is inside of the skimmer?

I'm using the in-sump model(urchin pro) with that same pump, and I just placed the media bag where the water flow drops outside of the skimmer back into the sump. Placing the bag in the skimmer will probably attract alot of the crap that your trying to pull from the water, bubbles will pop on the surface area of the bag, reduce it's effectiveness

and oh yeah, sorry to hear about the overflow that sucks

i have carbon running in the pre skimmer box. i don't think its meant to be run inside the skimmer. if you put it in the middle where the bubbles come up i'd think it would hamper the bubbles from getting to the collection cup.
