i would get an ro/di but my wife wont let me put it under the sink because of that pressure tank. and i have a load of reef janitors. none of them eat hair algae. not the tangs, not the emerald crabs, not a lawnmower blenny, not the hermits...nothing. had sea hares but they all died within a week.
I've read that RO water isnt good for drinking because it totally strips the water of everything like calcium, floride etc. I don't know what to believe anymore. Now my head hurts.
dont drink ro water it strips the water of all the minerals etc and it could make u sick.thats why when people use it in freshwater tanks the add the electrolytes ect. back into the water.
RO water does not make you sick. YEs it strips electrolytes out but its not the only thing I drink to get electrolytes. Reverse osmosis water is safe to drink.
Are you sure? Once I woke up dead and I was pissed as hell!!! You can't imagine the paperwork involved to straighten things out. LOL! I know it won't kill ya. But I know if someone is a "water only" drinker then they are in for a rough time. As long as you supplement whatever the RO is missing, then it's all good and you won't wake up dead. LOL!
Not sure if people have seen the infomercials for natural cures. I've bought their book and one of the things it talkes about is how fluoride is bad for u along with all the other minerals in the water. Also there are news reports that prescription drugs have polluted our drinking water slowly in the environment. I live in jersey and the water tastes nasty. When i want to drink a glass of water i drink RO. It's the same stuff in bottled water. I think we get enough minerals when i simply just tap water for cooking.
NYC tap water is actually really good. NJ tap water is horrible. And poland springs bottled water is around 50 to 60 TDS. I think Aquafina is around 50 to 60 also. But Aquafina is tap water that they RO and then add mineral for taste.
