i have a 75g rr with a modded mj, seio 800gph, seio 450gph, aquaclear 901 return pump 900gph -head....i have my small collection of sps on one half of the tank and most of the flow is on that side of the tank but i wanted to make the flow a little more random on that side.
the two options i have been thinking are...

i have a tunze 7240/2 that i could buy a controller for, although the direct jet type flow i hear is not the preferd method. but it is a tunze and on a controller would probably shake things up a bit.

my other idea....this is the right side of my tank, the side with sps

i could put a squid on my return pump having it switch from my mega flow return to another return on the far right side, i would put something like this on the right side

they would cost about the same but what would be the better option?

I usually don't answer flow questions but...I'd go with your first option and hood it up so it gives you random flow.
You might consider getting a couple of the magnet mounts for the P/H's you have in there now & hang them up, both need not be pointing upwards for surface exchange.

A scwd isn't going to do what you want for SPS.

Here is the last part in an article which basically outlines my philosophy for delivering flow for reef aquaria. Basically what it boils down to is understanding what random/turbulent flow really means, then making the entire water mass move together by getting your water movement equipment working together to increase water flow speed.
