I have a GEO 618 calcium reactor and finally got the thing working.

My PH probe is instead of the reactor and I am not sure what is the best set up. From what I can read, the reactor PH is supposed to be lower than the tank PH.

If this is the case, how do people test the tank PH? Or am i wrong?

Also what effluent rate are people running?

Unless you have a second stage reaction chamber to raise the pH the effluent should be about 6.5-6.7. At this point it is advantageous to direct the effluent to your skimmer and/or refugium to further drive off or absorb the CO2. I am not clear why but usually it seems my dKH is dramatically increased out of the reactor as opposed to the Ca++. You will need to adjust the BPM or effluent rate to maintain the mineral demand which will vary as your tank matures and your corals grow.
