Where do you guys get your co2 tanks filled? I use a guy in Brooklyn but i always think that i am being "short-changed" ........my first 10lb co2 tank read 800lbs pressure and lasted roughly 4 months, my recent exchange, the tank is reading a hair over 500lbs pressure and the tank itself feels "light", the guy said that it is an aluminum tank which weighs much lighter than the traditional tank. i just want to have someone else to use for comparison.

My newly refilled tanks always reads about 1000 psi.

Maybe your regulator is leaking which is not that uncommon.

It sounds like he has used 2 different tanks.....
But, what ever the PSI gauge reads...is what it is. Make sure it is @1000 PSI or greater when you leave the store.

i get my co2 from a fountain soda distributor, so he only exchanges the tanks, he doesn't refill them himself.

You also need to take account of the temperature. Metal expands and contracts which will change the readings. I believe a 10lb co2 should weigh 10lbs heavier when filled regardless of what its made out of.
