I am contemplating using an old DIY fuge attempt that I did in the past but did not finish as my sump (a perfect 10 gallon sump that will actually fit in the geneva stand). I used regular epoxy from home depot and was wondering if some remains of this would be toxic to the fish. I scraped off most of it but there is some residue left

you need to read the manufacturers recommendations. Just saying epoxy is to general of a question do you know the name of the epoxy and do you still have the original packaging? Asking the manufacture would be the best way to answer your question.

I assume the search comment and this odd comment were implying that I could find out my information by doing a regular search. This is true, but this probably applys to half of the threads aswell. IMO if you dont feel like answering because its a redundent question, just dont comment. Of course I know how to search, but I like hear personal advice from people I know keep successful reefs, before I take it.

NICE -_- Jason

The link in question is an error. Just like your other post there should have been content not the search function, actual search results with threads that had the info you were looking for.

FYI I keep a successful reef and have tried to help you every chance I could.

Yea sean, Its been a year since I attempted this DIY project and I need to back track and find out about this epoxy product. I scraped off 90% and am soaking in HOT water and trying to get all of, just curious about chemical toxicity

Ive seen pics of your reef in your thread and it is very impressive, i dont doubt that, thats why I am asking about this, I hear a million conflicting comments on my searches, I just like hearing from some people I can see the results of their knowledge.
