APC back up

Anybody use these and which ones?Please state the longevity of the backup on them.Thanks.

My APC Backup

That's what I use. It works nicely I have it hooked up to my protien skimmer It works but the most I have let it go was about 30 mins.

I also have this APC UPS Hooked up next to my tank with nothing to it so in case of a power outage I can un plug an mj1200 from my wavemaker and put it directly onto the UPS

Are there any that lasts for hours in case of a black out?

Look at the products depending on the power consumption of the piece plugged into it it may actually run for a few minutes up to a few hours.

Like for example my eheim 1262 and the two #4's.

Find out the power consumption of each and add them and then look to see what the UPS can handle for how long.

If you check their website they have a feature that you can calculate how long the APC will run using a certain amount of watts.

I've been using a 750va with 1 extra battery on a single Tunze, when power goes out it drops to it's slowest setting; longest it ran for was 22 hours. I got the unit with no batteries off eBay and picked up new batteries.
