92 Bowfront Corner Recommendation

As you know, soon will be moving to the Poconos!
We have decided when we setup our next new tank, it will be a 92 Bowfront corner tank, for reason its the most suitable size and configuration for our living-room.

So I'm reaching out to everyone here for your expert and economical advice and recommendation.

1) First, this tank will have mix corals & fish.
2) When recommending skimmer, return pumps, lights and etc. Please take into account I'm looking to be economical with power consumption (Electric Bill).
As you know in the 92 Corner Stand, there isn't much room:

• In-Sump Skimmer recommendation
• Submersible Pumps for skimmer and return
• Lighting Recommendation

In regards to the skimmer and pumps, why not use the experience you gained from your 90g? Even though the new tank is listed at 2 more gallons, you'll probably lose more than that in your sump, as there is less room under the corner tank.

For lights I would go with one nice 250 watt pendent with a good lumenarc reflector to cover tank size, w/o actinics to keep watts down, use something like a 14k phoenix with lots of blue already in it and that isnt bad electicity wise at 250 watts and have the power to keep most corals

For skimmer,take in mind the shape of the stand because they can be tricky w. sumps and skimmers, you may need to get a short fat one like BM or euroreef

As a former 92 owner, I would never set that tank up again.

Too many complications with room under the tank, getting a nice flow in the tank, lighting...

I had a MR1 skimmer/driven by a external Gen-X PCX-30. Maybe I should have specified that I'm looking into in-sump skimmer and in-sump pumps.

Got it used.....
The pump is great. I believe it's about 15 watts.

The EuroReef I had when you last saw it, was good for the tank too.

BM160 I have my eyes on. 15W if its enough to run the skimmer. Appreciate your feedback. Phil, your sump a DIY or custom, can't remember. Was hipnotized by your corals!! LOL..Don't understand why you did not get tank of the year!!

Sump is a DIY, but if you get a custom one made.....you can go a bit bigger

If I'm not mistaken. the ATI's use the same pumps that tunze use on there pump... they work great. I think they are called SICCi??? some thing like that.

Steve, appreciate your experience! After looking at Devious former 92, it was planned for my next tank. I have to make it work. Our house is not so big, but perfect for us. And the only place we can put a decent size is in the livingrm and the corner is our only option. Without remodeling the house. And Maggie will not let me do this for a tank! But, since you wer a former 92 owner. You probably have great insights!
