Has anyone bee going there?Has it changed?Since The Wonderful world of fish opened,stopped going there.

Havent been in some time. I drove by the other day and the door was open so I guess its still operating...I always left annoyed for some reason anyway so it saves me a headache, I pretend like it isnt there.

I know,the guy working there is cool but needs to know his stuff and some more English.The owner was to suppose to sell the place some time ago.Getting married he said.

I went when I first moved to Astoria but was sort of disappointed at the livestock. The staff was always friendly but most of them didnt understand anything I asked for. Occasionally the owner came out to talk with me and he is a nice guy, but somehow I always left feeling annoyed, slightly ripped off, or otherwise. Twice I called and they would say they were open, I walked there and there would be a sign on the door that they were gone for 2 hours for some reason. Or they would say they would order a very basic thing for me and a week later they couldnt remember who I was or what I ordered (and obviously did not order it). The "other" store won me over when the owner called me and said he had the $5 thing I ordered the very next day, then when I showed up early to get it he went through his entire shipment for the day (of like 30 boxes) to find it. Never looked back

To elaborate on the married thing.She has a restaurant venture and he was supposed to be involved in that so no time for reefing so he's parting allegedly.

I was there the other day and I have to say the livestock was a bit lacking. When they first opened up they did have quite a bit in stock but I guess thats changed. Sad to see.
