Berlin Skimmer? Reviews

What does everyone think about the Berlin Skimmers for a 120g FOWLR aquarium? I am not looking to spend alot of money and this is perfect for in sump. Any reviews experiences greatly appreciated.

Better to get mesh/needle wheel or beckett skimmers, they're more efficient. Others will probably chime in soon on why.

Unfortunately, they are not good skimmers. Your better off with a CoraLife Super Skimmer if your on a budget.

Hey sorry to kind of hijack, but does the ins-ps-150 already come with that hose to a waste collector or did you have to install that?

Nice video but what are the dimensions? Do you have a full photo of what it looks like? Is the pump included or can I use my MAG9 that I have laying around? How would I go about to place an order? Price? Thanks

The unit stands 22 inches tall and has a footprint of 6 X 12 inches (including pump)

The pump is included with the unit.

The cup does not come with the drain fitting on the collection cup, however we install them at the customers request for an extra $5.00

not really, it's so ou dont have to empty cup. it will drain into another container and after having one overflow. i dont use a drain fitting

Auto Waste Container will fix that up!

Or run it to a drain!

The Berlin skimmer is great, for 1992. If you're setting this up in a more current time period I'd go with a skimmer that uses one of the innovations of the last 15 years.
