FYI -exploding lamp/light bulb

FYI

Today I tried to replace my compact fluorescent lamp "bulb" in my refugium light, as I was inserting the bulb, it exploded in my hand and cut my fingers, the glass went flying all over the table. No, it wasn't plugged in, nor was it warm.

The make: Marineland Eclipse System Twelve.

I'm going to contact the company on Monday to let them know about the faulty bulb.

Just thought I might share this with you.

I'm ok thanks, just upset, didn't think I need to wear gloves and safety goggles to change a light bulb!

Glad to hear your ok , that's what really matters.

Did you put to much pressure on the bulb causing it to burst by any chance?
