Does anyone know where I could purchase a small (max size 6") T. Gigas clam? also, what do they normally run, price wise that is?
I want to grow it in my 90 for a while and then move him to my planned 210. I have heard they are a great form of natural filtration.

seen the local fish stores get some in a few weeks ago around 2-4". Finding small ones are hard. Usually clamsdirect has some but are 5-10".

As for them beeing good natural filtration, they don't do much but its a start i guess. You can;t fill your tank with clams and expect it to filter everything.

no no, not what I was thinking, just as a supplement to regular filtration, and I don't think it would make much of a difference until the clam was much larger. I just like the idea of growing it to that large size myself
