I know the admin is going to be opposed to this, but I have to say my peace as a member of one of the best reefing clubs (come on you know we are really a club) in the tri state area (JMHO).

I am sure the development time and costs associated with developing this new site cost something and wanted to defer to each members better judgement to take care of what is closest to us and ask those who are capable to donate to the site. I know many of you/us have donated already, but I just can't help myself.

I have met so many nice people, real people, on this site, that it is worth more to me than a few bucks via paypal. I wanted to say that publically.

I am donating and hope you take the time to do so as well. I think it is a worthy cause, and, with the new improvements, worth it to show gratitude. I chose to donate to show that. Some of you may not, and that is fine too. To me, just have to do it.

Well said Jim.
I know from helping out a little bit that the redesign of this site took a huge amount of work, time, and money.
I agree we have a great community of people here who happen to have reefing/fish in common. I feel lucky to have found manhattan reefs, it's made my experience in the hobby completely different plus I've made a whole bunch of new friends.

I'm a memeber of LIRA and haven't ever been to a meeting, and haven't met anyone there.

I've met most people I know with tanks through MR, so why not!

well said by all...I agree, being a new member here, I have experienced the outreach of all the members in this "club". I rave about how helpfull and geniune all are. If all it takes is a few dollars donation, I think its well worth it! The site looks great, the work that went into it seems more like it was a passion and not an task. Congrats, and lets all get on board with this motion.

I have to say that this forum appears to be a more casual less stuffy forum with a geniene group of people that are really sincere in helping other fellow members. Example ,Nyfireman thats incredible how many members are willing to help. I know nyfireman and can say he would also be the 1st to also help fellow members in need. I look forward to being part of this forum and will pass the word out to other fellow reefers.

I agree, this place is great!! I have met so many nice people and have had some great get togethers with the reefers here.

I agree I belong to about 12 diffrent reef sites and this one is by far the best. I will be donating money as soon as I get back from Vacation. Like OR has said when tradegy hit home for me everyone was there with open arms. Frags were offered Money was offered i told them donate the money to MR ill take the frags lol. I am prud to be a member of group/club like this. I might be going down to NO october first so I might miss the swapbut for a good cause.
