I came across some redbugs and just couldn't help myself with the curiosity to take a closer look.

Nasty little critters!! Looking up close under the microscope you can see why the poor SPS feels so bad when infected. Image that sucker running up and down your arm. You would go nuts!!

You can see why they are called redbugs, however, you can also see how they can also look yellow to the naked eye. Most of their body is yellow.

LOL!! I thought the close up of it's rear would bring some chuckles to any interested parties! :D

I didn't get any macro shots, but those are available almost everywhere on RC where SPS and Redbugs are mentioned. The upclose shots aren't! :)

The further away shots are at 100x magnification, while the close up of the head and rear-end are at 400x magnification.

I was amazed at the amount of "hair" these guys have. They also move alot, squirm would be an appropiate term. So the hair and the movement would be equilivant to a brillo pad scouring your arm for the SPS that is infected.

I think you are confusing your Bed Bugs with Red Bugs. Wash your sheets! :eek1:
LOL! I'm just hoping that I didn't get any on me while I was purifying them/capturing them.

They can actually jump! and move quite fast for such little guys. In human standards it would be equal to jumping over the Empire state building from Chinatown.
