I was in GA once with an amazing sushi chef, he was explaining some of the dishes he could make out of some of the larger fish :bunny:

when I was a kid my family went on vacation to grand cayman.
one day we hired a boat captain to take us diving, and for lunch he went fishing
on one of the reefs we dove at. he made a cooked fish salad out of parrot fish,
some large wrasses and other reef fish I don't remember. at the time I did not like fish, but I ate it and it was tasty!

If you are surprised by people eating naso tangs you might want to lock your doors and windows and never leave your house again. It gets a lot worse than that in some places. As a piece of trivia, rabbit fish and foxfaces are 2 members in a group of fish known as "Dream Fish". DO NOT eat them unless you don't have any plans for the next 36 hours since you will probably be screaming your head off at the "vivid and terrifying visual and audible" hallucinations. You think the guys that go and catch these fish go to the supermarket after work and buy a nice salmon steak? One yellow tang for you..... one for me......

I have a large Naso about 15" and I've had him for the longest and I would never think of eating him. I think if something happen to him, I would problably cry and bury him in my back yard.

Charles, what store in the Bronx is this? Is it on Tremont Ave.? I am on East Tremont ave in the BX...
