Drip rate for kalk

Okay guys, after doing some research that should have been done before using that purple up stuff(PS..i am a consumer w**re) i decided to just drip kalk from now on..i got one of those misting things from a lfs that drips into a reptile tank to keep moisture....whats the rate i should be dripping at? How long should i wait to test???
