ink,
nice find, seems as if they like it on the floor ... but in my case i don't know, sand or rockwork ...

Been in the tank alittle over 2hrs and its open but not fully open, where the mantle is over the side of the shell and the mouth is wide open

I have 2x39w t5's and 2 actinics and my crocea is down in the sand bed which is 3inches deep. I have it sitting on top of a pvc in case I have to move something for whatever reason I don't have to worry about ripping it from its mantle. So I would say its about 18in. From the bulb maybe less and its doing fine. The higher the better its all up to you and what u like. Hope that helps.

well to late now it attached to the current position, so now my only worry is why isnt it fully opened yet? does it take a day or two to fully expand or should i move it ...(the mouth not being fully opened, but the mantle is just not laying over the shell)

it may take time to adjust. but it should be fully open. in-siphon hole should not not gaping open. sometimes they do that when just settling in or not healthy. as long as no one bothers it (INCLUDING U) , let it chill out for awhile.
