After two damselfish, oh oh!

My 10 gallon tank seem ready for a little something, so I put in two Turbo Snails:snail: and the next day about 30 hours later I put in two Damselfish:bablefish, but the Ammonia took a roller coster ride to 1.0. Should I let the tank enjoy that ride:tank:: for a stronger cycle (but my Turbo's and Damsel's could end up in Sea Heaven, Not Good:sad2: or should I give it a bit of a water change 10% and not feed them for a day. It's been a while since I did this and it feel like I am starting all over. Am I losing my marbles I am starting all over. A little help PLEASEEEEEEEEE.:banghead: Before I get

How long did you wait before you added in the damsels? was the tank already fully cycled?
How much live rock and sand do you have?

I waited about two weeks the reading were all good, I was told to put in two fish and let the tank Kick in a good cycle. But, should I be kicking myself.

What kind of filtration do you have?
You can have all good readings with just regular saltwater, doesn't mean it's totally cycled. And good readings mean 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, and as little nitrates as possible.
If you have enough live rock and sand, then I would say leave the fish in cause the ammonia will convert to nitrite and then nitrate soon enough. But if you don't have enough rock/sand/filtration you will probably not be able to keep much alive.

Well I have a litte Aqua Clear with a Skimmer that's doing it job so far, a Power Sweep 214 and a small power head on a timer, I should be getting my 150w HQI in the mail by Monday but I have a power compact running for now. I have a bit of LR and not much LS but plan on putting in more LS soon, is it OK to put in more LS after the cycle I am waiting to get some. I plan to put in coral and maybe one fish. I didn't plan on putting in fish yet but some one told me to put in at least two fish to make cycle stronger and it looks like it 's still cycling and its by Coney Island and I need to catch it before it to late.

Yeah.... you really didn't need to add live things to make the cycle "stronger". You could have added a shrimp you can buy at the supermarkets for less than a dollar. Adding in sand or rock after your initial cycle, may cause the tank to cycle again depending on what kind of a percentage your adding in. I.E. if you have 1 pound of rock now and then add 10 pounds of new rock, this will cause a cycle. If you have 20 lbs now and add a 1/2 lb rubble rock probably won't have any real cycle.

And 150w MH on a 10 gallon tank seems a little excessive, unless you plan on upgrading soon enough.

Ummm I would put all the live sand in that you are going to put. IF you wait you might have problems first you are going to kick up a big cloud of sand thats going to take time to settle then it is also going to settle all over you filter system. and its going to find its way in your skimmer and its not going to be fun. I would put the sand in now. There are some guys here who have a method to put it in while the water is in the tank. DONT JUST DUMP IT IN. even in a 10 gallon you dont want a sand cloud. Also you should practice to do it right from the get go. That way when you go larger you dont mess up.. I would put all live rock and live sand in that you are going to put then wait for the system to cycle. Check you parameters and just take your time. Might as well practice patience now. It will come in handy later.
