Love mine. Once you understand the programming, it's really easy to do.

I was going to buy a temp controller ($120) and four digital timers for my lights (another $120.) So when I found one on sale for less than both the above, it was well worth it.

i want to run my lights. mh and t5. also want to set up my ca reactor. so i do not have to dose any more. do i need any special gadgets to add onto the controller to do this...

Just make sure that you purchase the unit with the DC8 combo. If you don't and decide to get the DC8 afterwards then the price of the DC8 is about 40% more. You can control your lights individually, if you utilize the PH controlling for your Ca reactor (recommended), then you should still get a PH monitor for your tank parameters. The AC Jr will also control fans/chiller, your heaters etc.
