Any coral, at the bare minimum gets a dose of flatworm exit (had them once, planaria, about three years ago and vowed to NEVER get them again). I don't keep SPS, so I'm not concerned with those associated pests.
Other than the above, temperature acclimation and in they go (for corals).
For snails, crabs, shrimp, anemones, etc. I do temperature acclimate, then drip acclimate. I find that these inverts are much more sensitive than coral. Coral are a lot tougher than most people give them credit for.
