cured live rock in manhattan

yeah i need some rock and 8.99 per pound is crazy. thats what ive been seeing at petland and petco. any one know of any inexpensive spots in the city to get some cured rock?

how much are you looking for? i know that petland on 72nd st was having a sale on lr for about $5/lbs if you bought 40lbs or so. however, god only knows what they will infest your tank with if you get anything from them

i guees like 30 or 40 pounds. i see people on this board selling rock but i sometimes dont have the cash on hand. thats why i was asking bout a store. and really ive had success with the fish ive gotten there. everytime i get a fish from new world aquarium it has ich like 2 days later.

you are prob not going to find it cheaper than $8.99/lb at a store

skip the stores all together. Go on ebay and search live rock. You can get 50 lbs for around $2.50/lb and sometimes delivery is free. That's what I did and I'm very happy I did.

MR members always have live cured rock for sale from time to time.
better than the store and cheaper. can get it anywhere from $2.00-4.00/lb.
