Reef lobster

Does anyone have a Reef Lobster? If you do, have you seen it lately? :irked:

Put it in the tank a few days ago. Ran into the rock, and has not come out...

Looked for it at night... No luck...

could he have got out?

i think its unlikely he escaped. lure him out with some food. or maybe he didn't make it? how'd you introduce him? inverts are sensitive!

I saw mine for the second time in 6 months after breaking down my tank and moving him to my new tank. I guess there just shy lol

I'll try and lure him out...

You don't really see them that much... For the most part they hearty... They even live through red bug treatments...

i had 1 for 3 years and he never came out in the open, only time i seen him was when i was doing cleaning

Yea I got one too and I haven't seen him since I put him in there. I thought maybe my zebra eel ate it but I have other things in there that the eel never bothered, like fish and shrimp. I"d have to agree with other people about them being shy. And you're right, they are kind of a waste if you never see them but maybe if you get more than one of them they might not be so shy, that's what I'm planning to do...

When he gets bigger and can't hide... It may come to that...

I thought mine died, didn't see him for about 6 months but finally he appeared. He got bolder as he got bigger I guess.

Possibly, His colors also seem brighter now that he has aged.
