I have a 14 gallon biocube with a 14k HQI that I have an issue with.Numbers arePH 8.2trates 0trites .1calcium 360phosphates at 2KH at 130 this was using a Hagen test kitI just did a 3 gallon water change 3 days ago water is RODI po4 of 0 (first thing I checked.) KH of 130??!! What is causing my po4 and kh issues? atm I'm clueless. Is a water change the only way to correct the KH?The tank has 2 skunk clowns 6 hermits and 3 turbos with assorted polyps shrooms and a clam. Tank has been up for 5 months just added clam 2 weeks ago. watching it for a freind doing a divorce. Thanks for any help

Never mind for the moment. I'm now finding that 130 may be just fine lol. It just depends on where you look. Hagen says 80 is good. Been to 2 places that say 120-200 is good. Does a Hagen kit measure in ppm? anyone? anyone? I though ti did. Goann have to wait till I'm home from work to check it.

Ya that was the problem everywhere I went no one was using the ppm readings. No worries I hearing some negative things about the Hagen KH test as far as reading higher than it is. I going to order a Salifert and go from there. Thanks for the replys

I liked my Salifert kit, but read ALOT that Lamotte's kit is better. Test results have been very similar from both for me so far.
