Hi guys, not sure if this has been asked before but what other alternative foods can you feed your large flesh eating corals and fish, besides the frozen packs of fish and shrimp. Would it be better/ just as good to go out to the supermarket and buy a certain fish and just the farm shrimp and chop em up and feed that instead? Or should i just stick to buying hikari(and other brands) frozen foods.
And if I can buy supermarket seafood what should I buy, fish wise, clam wise, shrimp wise, etc...

Thanks!

So no fish, I don't think i'll be able to catch a sand shark anytime soon unless if theres going to be a MR fishing meetup.

How about Cod, salmon, or getting "doctor" fish? any of those good to feed your fish and corals?

Well, I collect at Plum beach which is in Sheapshead Bay section of Brooklyn. Going towards verrazano, you take exit 9 and make a u-turn, once back on the highway just exit at the first exit area. If you are comming from the verrazano, exit at the rest stop past exit 9B. Go onto the beach (make a left) and walk towards the end if you want to reach tidal pools. If you have a seine, you can just enter the water and collect them when the tide gets in.

frozen oysters from asian food markets. Take half an oyster and press it through a garlic press. The results are awesome. the mashed up consistency gives off particicles great for SPS tank, and all fish.
