Turbo Grazer...DEAD?

I have had 3 turbo grazers for about 5 months now....
yesterday, I saw one of the snails out in the open during daylight hours(when they usually hide)....
The snail was just lying in the sand...and every so often it would send it's body upward....now it is tucked into it's shell and hasnt moved all day...


Is it dead?

If you see a dark disc underneath,it's dead.

The snail's "suction cup" is blocking the hole.....
is that what you mean?

We flip ours over when we see them with the wrong side up... if they don't move from that spot... they're dead. And if we don't flip them in a reasonable amt. of time they die, they can't flip themselves back over.

ok...i flipped it over and placed it on a rock...if its still like that tomorrow he is going in the garbage....unless anyone has some butter and garlic

I remember when I first smelled a dead snail...haunting

pinkhein is right. I hate seeing them upside down because that means i gotto reach in to flip them.
