anyone use AMQUEL PLUS

ive use this for 2 months so far and my levels have all been on 0.

With reef tank you need to try to NOT add chemicals that aren't completely required. Amquel only covers up for improper husbandry and poor water quality.

the only reason i use it is because i dont have an ro/di unit

I don't have an ro/di unit and I don't use it.

It only masks problems in your tank,

hmmmm you always give good advice i will take this one as well lol but im still going to get the ro/di for my tap water

I would suggest you get an RODI I use distilled and pre made water due to my tank size.

one more thing what typ of filter pad would you suggest i use on my canister filter so the water could look crystal clear. i remember you said you use to use canisters

Something to keep in mind if you use amquel plus..you will not get an accurate reading on ammonia levels using a standard test kit.

what type of filter do you have ? that helps before telling you what pads

if you have a rena canister they have 3 or 4 different pads , i have one when i use it to polish my water, you can also run a poly pad which is for polishing the water
