Which silicone is fish safe?

Is it the GE I or the GE II silicone? Running to the hardware and just want to make sure.

Guess I'm better off with a tube of the Petland stuff. It's only $5 bucks and its an easier walk in any case.

the GE silicone II is what your looking for. It is the blue tube found in all home depots. it says right on it "100% Silicone".

GE II turns yellow undersaltwater for some reason.

GE also says: "GE does not recommend the use of our CONSUMER products on aquariums. The Silicone II product line releases ammonia as the by-product of cure. The ammonia can change the pH of the water in the aquarium having a negative impact on the marine life."

Hmmm just went with the All Glass Silicone. Bought it at petland.

Thats just what I was thinking. I got two baffles done. Waiting for the second to dry in place and then the third and last baffle gets put into place.

Silicone II says Do not use for aquariums
Silicone I doesn't. Guess what I used on my tank? I also found it in black so I don't care if it yellows.

Kris, Just make sure you let it sit for a full 24 hours before you add water to it!

I'll just throw the cheato in the skimmer compartment and keep it in check so it doesnt get outta control. I added the baffles today. One more baffle and I coulda had the macro compartment but I didn't have the $$ for the last one. Alls well tho.
