Sorry to hear what happened. You need a SW maintenance guy/company instead of a housekeeper for SW tanks.
In the meantime, PUT all warning labels everywhere-like
DON'T TURN THIS OFF
DON'T PUT FRESH WATER IN THIS TANK
MAKE SURE TO TURN THIS OFF WHEN DONE
...
