What is the best way to keep the glass tank from showing all of the streaks and hand prints?

After cleaning it with water, and drying it off, use some news paper and that will take out the streaks and hand prints. Some people also use a squeegee.

I spray some glass cleaner on a paper towel. I spray it in the kitchen, and by the time I take the three steps to the tank, it's soaked into the rag enough I'm not worried. Then it's a piece of newspaper to clean the streaks.

Newspaper! I've never heard of that trick. It would have saved me hours of frustrating wiping and rewiping and rerewiping and rererewiping, etc.

I use a 50% Vinegar 50% water solution on a paper towel and than dry it. Seems to keep my glass streak free.

I'm with the newspaper it works for me. Saw the dude at petland doing it to the tanks so I figured id try it and it works.

newapaper is supposed to be the best but i've never tried it yet.
so far i just spray windex on a paper towel. any left over steaks are wiped away with my sleeve. :duh:

i have been using newspaper on my tanks since i was a kid. also works great on windows. you get a streak free clean glass

Also try it on Mirrors, comes out really clear.

haha did you know that mens shaving cream on newspaper will clean a mirror and keep it from fogging up for a while sorry had to say that

On the inside I find that the best way is manually with a razor blade. I use the big ones that come as an ice scraper! All other methods have acted to scratch my glass! I also only need to clean my glass twice a month.

On the outside I use a wet paper towel, followed by a dry one to remove the water from the wet one.

So I would clean it with windex and or water and then take some newspaper and wipe it down. The newspaper should be wet or dry.

Water fine. Either spray water on the glass or take a wet paper towel and clean off the glass. Then dry it with another paper towel or just let it dry by itself. Use a dry newspaper and take out the streaks.

Funny - actually back in the day when I lived in the projects (no kidding here) we used newspaper and vinegar water - cleanest I have ever seen glass.
