No heat issues with lumen bright reflectors hanging 17" above the water....:splitspin....sorry to get off topic....I just cant help but love the setup i am using now....However there are many combinations of lighting that will get you to the desired end result !!!! However, if we are trying to acheive as natural a source of light you can get(for a reef) than look no further than mh......for now.
