Hi guys, I just came across an awsome deal on 48 inch coralife aqu-pro 150k metal halide lights, and I'm really interested in buying it. However, the width of the light is 15 inch and my 72 gallon bow front is about 13 inch in width. Has anybody in the forum with 72 bowfront have this light?? I'm trying to see if I could some how use the light without buying the hanger. I found this adjustable mounting leg, but I'm not really sure how this works. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Invert the legs. I had one on my 55g and if you are looking at the tank from the sides the legs normally look like this / \. Take them off and put them on backwards so that the look like this \ /

yea maybe if the bow front will meet up with the light but that might get really anoying with having to feed daily and if he has any corals that he has to spot feed he might just go nuts best bet i think hang it

I used those mounting lights on my corallife PC fixture on my old 55 gal. They worked really well allowing me to tilt the light back for feeding & tank maintainance. I don't think they will support a heavier MH fixture though. There are other mounting legs for MH fixtures that will support the extra weight. Best bet though is to hang from above.

Speaking from experience with this light fixture and with a tank that width it works.

Thanks for all the advice. I think the light is too big for my tank. After all I would have to buy chiller too with MH. I'll just stick with my power compact for now. Its a good deal if anybody in Houston is interested. The seller had used the light for about 4 months. He is selling it for 375.00. (coralife 48 inch aqua-pro 150k MH with actinic and moon light)
