regular cleaning powerhead

Hi all today i notice one my powerhead impeller wasn't turning so i disassemble the unit a clean around the magnet and man the smell and the dirt that build up of food and other stuff.I like to now how offer you clean your powerhead

good soak in vinager and then some gentle scrubbing usually works for me.

oh yeah don't forget to wash out the vinegar before putting it back in the tank.

every 2 months I let the power heads run in a gallon of vinegar for about an hour then I let them run in clean water for about 2 hours, I change the water after the first half hour, then at the hour mark then the 1 1/2 hour mark Then I put them back in the tank.

i let them soak in vinegar for an hour or so, rinse and put back in the tank.
