Hello I have a 29 gallon BIO CUBE. I wanted to know if anyone out there has a 29 gallon bio cube with cheato in it? And if so what chamber did you put yours in? I From left to right I have the pump then the bio balls then in the last sump I have a protien skimmer. I put some cheato in the bioballs and also in the sump where the skimmer is. IS that ok? Im not really sure where it goes. Thanks :)

Macro

I'm having the same dilemma, I'm curing my LR to swap my bio balls, but if I use macro instead, how would it get lighting?

When I had my nanocube I used to put macro in the first but it quickly fills up with detritus so you have to clean it. Better probably to put a sponge in the first and macro in the middle. Theres a mod I had found on nano-reefs.com where they basically used a razor to scrape off the paint or plastic on the glass covering that chamber and then had a lamp directed at it so that i gets adequate light.

Guys - where do you find reading material on the cheato/caluerpa regarding removal of excess nutrients/phosphates and cultivation? I tried googling, but didn't find anything worthwhile.

Thanks a bunch!

does HD sell something that size that will fit into the champer under the hood of the tank? Also does the cheato need to be in the water 100% because my chamber with the bioballs has it sticking up and out of the water a little. Is that ok? Im not really sure. thanks

some say the best way is in a chamber were there is sufficient flow so the chaet will roll around. This keeps Cyano and detritus from building up. :)
