CPR bak pak 2 R+

I know needle-wheel protein skimmers are common now, but is anyone still using CPR bak pak skimmers? I am thinking of getting bak pak 2 R+ because my tank has 2 inch Eurobrace and this skimmer looks like it will fit. I am looking for HOB skimmer only. Also how well does it skim for a 75 gallon mix reef with fish.

i have the bak pak......

i have it on a 10g nano tank.... works wonders, i dont see any reason why it shouldnt skim well on a 75, however im sure there are better options availible

the bakpak is much bigger than it looks

probably 17"H X 5"W S 3.5"D

in my limted expeirence with both salt water and skimming i like the bak pak. i have one on 30 gallon, needs very little matience and i see lots of skim.

Thanks for feedback, anyone using cpr bak pak on 75gallon and any bubble issues going back into the back?

That is way undersized for a 75 gal but it doesn't mean the tank won't work. Don't feed the tank a ton, keep up with water changes, and run GFO all the time.

Thanks, that's what I afraid of, that its not strong enough for 75g.

Dude I have a 30 gal and I'm using a cpr bakpak and I hate it wish I would've got something better

60g with a Bak Pak and love it If you get the new pump CPR is making for it it'll work FAR better
