I recently brought this rock that had some superman shrooms on it. But that's not what convinced me to buy it. What convinced me was the pink stuff growing on the rock. I have it growing in both of my tanks but not like this. It's growing outward like that kind of fungus on trees. I have never seen this before. Have U?

I don't do bubble algae questions..lol Been lucky to not get any..knock wood!

I'm sure some of the pros will pop up soon with some solutions for you, but I'm sure you are on the right track with the crabs :)
...I recall reading that hand picking it - while the rocks are OUT of the tank, and well rinsed (with SW) before being returned is a good start :)

Take the rocks out of the tank that have the bubble algae on it. With a fine point tweezer grab the bubble at the base and pull it off the rock being ever so careful not to pop that bubble. Then after all is removed rinse under some RO and place back in the tank. Repeat as needed.

:iamwithst that's the best way to do, and nip it in the bud now.
As far as spreading the corraline I like to turn off my filtration and then use a razor blade to scrape of the algea into the flow stream thus seedng the tank with it. If your water paramaters are in check (hgh calcium good ph, etc.) it should spread like wild fire. Good luck :birthday:

Fish Finder, I used a sewing needle to remove some bulb algea that I found on some corals I purchased. Again, remove the rock from the tank, and very carefully get under the base of the bubble, and pick it off without bursting the bubble. I didn't rinse, BUT that does not mean you shouldn't. I have not seen any since then. The first time was well over six months ago.;)

Ok i did about a hour worth of work on the tank today. Carefully plucked the bubble off. There was more then i though. Cleaned all the rock before i placed it back into the tank. I will get updated pic's once everyone is done being pissed off at me lol. Hopefully anything i missed the three emerald crabs will take care of now.
