My lighting is:
3 110watt VHO - actinic, 1 110watt VHO - daylight
2 250watt 10K HQI MH (left and right side)
1 250watt 20K HQI MH (center)

shaun my 20 gallon is 175 watt 10K MH currently with 150 watt of VHO uri atinic. but when the Mh comes ont he atinic looks like it's disappeared. should i go with a higher K with lower amount of par? make it look a bit more blue or should i just stick with the 10K? with the 10K right now it has a small hue of blue.

Dave, The VHO should still shine thru. I was using a 95 URI Superactinic along side the 10K XM and it made a big difference in the color of the tank. Rich saw the difference that it made, it was a big one.

im trying to see if it shines thru but i dont see any diffrence expect a blue hue around the edges of acrylic, as you guys know i dont have anywater or rock in the tank yet so i have no clue.
