Ok so I got this awsome frag of sun coral about a week ago and I get it home acclimate it and place it in an ideal place. I wake up the next morning to find my new coral missing. After doing some searching I find it deep into a cave in my rock work. Luckily I was able to reach it without taking my rock apart. So replaced. Next morning same exact thing, its deep into the cave. So I take the coral out and feed it for the first time and see it open up for the first time, I must say this is an amazing looking coral!! So after feeding it goes back into a diff space. It lasts there for about 3 nights then back to the same exact spot. Again I reset it into a diff spot. It lasts until this morning. Now its in a diff spot than the cave and I def cant reach it unless I pull some rock apart. This time is a little diff. When it was in the cave it looked to be dragged or shoved in there, it would be upside down or sideways. This time it looks like someone is messing with me. It's placed perfectly and neatly onto my base rock that has an overhang, but its in the back of my tank!! So before I rip apart the tank I wanna find the culprit. I have about 8 hermits in the tank, a sifting star, a pistol shrimp, 4 chromis, a clown, pom pom crab, zebra crab, and a bunch of nessaria snails. I have other corals that aren't secured either and they are all fine and exactly where I left them. So who is messin with my head?

Wingo, I dont think that the zebra would be able to pick it up, he is real small. As for the clown....I would say he is large enough to move it, he is about 2 inches. I hope its not him....

Glue it to a nice piece of flat rubble. you can remove it and also make it harder to be kidnapped.
I wonder what the motive is??:splitspin

I believe is your clown .If he's in there a while they like to land scape watch him and see .Actually move the coral in front of him and let him see you put it down and you'll probably catch him.

My maroon has been know to throw a coral clear across the tank if she doesn't want it where I put it. I wouldn't be surprised if the clown was the culprit either.

Thanks for all of the help and suggestions guys!! I've glued it down to a piece of rock that will help to make this coral more stationary. I'll watch it tonight and see if I can come up with the culprit....
