Hi guys

I am not sure if this is simply not working but my chiller has been on, with its fans, and compressor humming every other 2 seconds for the past two hours. My temp hasnt dropped at all, and it is remaining at 83 degrees.

When i first got it, it was dropping the temp down by a tenth every few minutes now nothing. Cool air is blowing out the back and some underneath. This is great and all but the output of the water is the same as the tank. help!! This is probably only the 8th time it has turned on. Yesterday and todya were the first times in nearly 3 weeks.

TECO chiller 1/3 hp btw

Does it have an internal probe for the temp or one you put in the tank? Probably a dopey question..but if it's internal, is it near your heater or lighting?

Try lowering the desired temp a little and see if it has an effect.
If it is chilling the water the air coming out of the chiller should be warm ..not cool.

btw...my chiller instructions say that it's accurate to within 1 or 2 degrees (it is spot on btw...)..maybe yours doesn't 'think' it needs to be chilling?

its internal and not by a heater or lighting. outside my cabinet and ambient temperature is nice.

I tried lowering it 78 degrees today. it turned on but the water coming out wasnt cold and the air blowing out the back was cool. will try again tomorrow @ 76

Has the air blowing out the back been warm at any point since you got it?
