help looking for a quiet return pump

looking for a quiet return pump that i can use external with good flow so i can run my protein skimmer and my CO2 reactor to circulate the water. whats a good quiet brand

Quiet One (thats the name Brand)

Quiet One is HIT or MISS. YOu'd have to buy like 3 to pick one that is really quiet. The other two will have the most annoying hum/buzz. I have had a perfect quiet one 4000 for about 2 years until the power went out (before I had it on UPS) and it didn't restart when the water was rushing down. The pump overheated and seized. I couldn't get a quiet unit since then and I have tried 3.

I ordered Blue Line from Champion Lighting but the model I picked is on back order. They offered to ship bigger pump at no extra cost but I didn't need bigger I needed quieter, so they gave me 10% on my entire order if I waited. Picked up used one from a guy here online and if the new one comes in and is relatively (because its smaller) quieter then this large one I have temporarily running I'll be a very happy camper. Runs cool and does not add any heat.

WOW ? I never heard that before? I have seen them used in a few aquariums and they worked well?

i was looking at a mag 12 but it pulls to much watts and i heard it leaks when used external

THey do leak when outside and I haven't heard of anybody who hasn't complained that it adds at least 2 degrees to the tank.

I have one running my turboflotor but it's in the water. Externally it may be a whole different story. Do you have yours plumbed externally?
