I have a 65 Gal acrylic drilled tank with overflow and I just ordered a Tunze 6060 (getting it tomorrow). I currently have two Rio Oscillating powerheads (which are junk since they don't really oscillate). I have about a 1-1.5" sand bed, mostly softies and LPS (1 sps).
So my question is this: What's the best placement and setting for this type of tank. It's 3' long and aobut 26" high (I'll have to double check the height). I want good even flow around the entire tank but obviously don't want to blast away the sand or corals.
I've seen some pictures of the Tunze being on one end of the tank, and others have it in the middle of the tank on the back wall. I also understand that the Tunze has some settings... What do people recommend for each?
Thank you!
