Need help deciding on a 150w halide bulb

I have been running the 14k phoenix in a sunpod over my nano. It's time for a bulb change and I was thinking of changing to an iwasaki 50k or maybe a reeflux 12k. I need a break from the phoenix

Any experiences or opinions are welcome. Thanks:tub:

Rich, the 250 refflux 12k is a dog - may have good par but is yellower than the iwasaki and dramatically different than the phoenix - again this was with the 250 - don't imagine they are that different.

I've actually heard good things about the Iwasaki 50K though I've never seen one lit in person. If you don't like the Phoenix you will likely hate the Reeflux 12K. I love my Ushio aqualight 14K 250W and i think they make a 150W version. If so, that would be my recommendation.

I run the 150DE Ushio 14k. Its a good bulb. Color is CRISP white, and i mean crisp. Took a little while to burn it but it turned out to be a decent bulb. i miss my phoenix 14k though

Yea ive strayed from the phoenix with XM 20, Coralvue 20 and still nothing brings that non-supplemented look like the phoenix, from my experience
