Testing would be the best way to know, as you can monitor Po4 slightly elevating......but normally the media should be changed 3 weeks to a month.

cool just added a reactor actually 3 to tank
one with carbon, one with Phosaban the third with poly filters

oh man I change mine every 2 months but with a light bioload

I change mine out every three weeks or so, when I notice that the I have to clean the front display glass of alage more often than normal.

ordered rowa from what i read that stuff blows phosaban away!

Rowa is twice as absorbent, but costs twice as much as Phosban. In my unofficial testing, PhoSar from Warner Marine is your best buy. Especially when you buy in bulk.

I did order some rowa to try
according to my lamotte test kit my PO4 was .2 PPM before I added posban I figure I'll give it a couple of more days and check again

I haven't tested there GFO, but I hear good things about it. It's cheap enough that you can't go wrong.

Frank the best on the market to me is Phosar HC and it lasts longer then others
