I have heard and seen pictures that the metal screws on Mag Drive pumps can become rusty. I experienced this first hand on my canister filter just the other day. They are sending me a replacement part. Does anyone know off hand what would be good to replace these with before my mag drive starts oxidizing. I would like to solve the problem before it happens. BTW why in the world would these companies make products like this?

you can get them from US Plastic Corp - search for them online. I ordered 100 and after using a bunch for myself I gave the rest away. They are cheap and sold by the 100s. Only thing, I researched numerous reef forums to find the right size before I ordered, but when I got them they were clearly not the correct screw. They worked, but the screw shaft diameter was a little off and the thread was different. So I would do a little better research before ordering. hth.
