Do fish make buddies?

I bought a medium sized hippo tang over the weekend and I notice he is always swimming by my clownfish - they are inseparable. I never noticed this before with any of my fish - has anyone else had different species hanging together?

they got the joke in first but yes this has happend to me many times but normaly its like the 2 new fish u add not an old tank mate and a new one but hey seen a lot of random stuff

well i have anthias and clowns that hang out all the time. Its really weird.
