I had good luck with an Auriga - nice fish, didn't bother my clams or corals and went nuts on my Aiptasia FWIW. Good luck.

The new redsea Aptasia X stuff seems to work really well. It glues the suckers mouth shut lol. I applied it to a reeftank, and wiped out a ton of them.

berghia nudibranch is for you if peppermints don't work. SaltyUnderground sells them for a decent price. right when you get them though, put up an ad for berghias for trade/ give away because they ONLY eat aiptasia. ONce it is gone, they will starve, and that is why you should be ready to give them to a friend with the problem, just keep moving them around the NY area.

Berghia Nudibranchs coming by Friday I hope

I bought the bullet and ordered some. I have 8 coming and will have at least 6 available (I plan on trying to keep my population in check and maybe have two breed as the eggs are good tank food...if they kill off the aipstasia then I'll try to pass them on to my brother or re-post). The total cost to me was $96 canadian so that is about $11 each (most was shipping). If anyone is interested, let me know.

I'll second the Auriga, I got one and it's taken care of an out of control aiptasia problem. they are hardy compared to copper bands. PLEASE don't buy Copperbands to control your aiptasia!! even experts have trouble keeping them alive, they are not suited at all for life in our tanks. They are much too sensitive and can die with no warning.

aptasia x from read sea is really good it triggers them 2 feed and then kills them once they do, and its reef safe or so they say. I would be careful but i also heard that kilkwassa (im pretty sure thats spelt wrong) would work but never tried it.

I second a crap load of Peppermints. Discovered several stalks of aptaisia on a new clam I bought, put it in my DT with peppermints and they got rid of all of them before the night was out.

Update on my tank vs. aipstasia

The nudibranchs arrived today and in seeming fine form. The order was a total of 5, not 8 like I originally thought, and they came packed in 2 separate small plastic containers. I originally had wanted 2 so I started the conditioning process with the package with 2 and left the other one intact for other MR member(s). I did a basic, and their recommended, method of adding my tank water to the shipment container with a baster slowly, over about an hour. When I lowered the container in so they could "crawl out" the flow in the tank shot/lifted them out and they started floating so I quickly shut off they hydor and the return pump and they settled on rocks on opposite side of the tank. I was a little nervous but they both immediately started feeling/moving aong the surface of the rocks on which they landed and went crawling into hiding. I'll update you on my results.

On a related note, it seems the 6 peppermint shrimp I got about a week ago have been doing something though it is hard to be quantitative. It certainly sems liek there is slightly less density of aipstasia, so I think that thy are maybe eating the smallest ones? Honestly I wouldn't know since I've only caught slight glimpses of them...I know they are there but they are not too visible.
