electric shock

today i was cleaning my tank and everytime my head touched my outer orbit lights i got a major shock it look like a scene from frankenstein anybody know why this happened ,could this start a fire?

stray eletricity. find the source. maybe something inside is wet.

i was sweating at the time my forehead was wet and i had my hands in the water ,or do you mean something in the light fixture was wet?

no,no top i think it had something to do with my forehead being wet

I would invest in a grounding probe and find out why u got shocked from touching the fixture.
