DIY tank or no?

looking for a 24x18x18 glass tank but theres no such dimensions made unless its custom...

and a custom tank roughly will cost me over 300 bucks....(thats uncluding starphire front and overflow/2 holes)....

i was thinking of diy'in a tank in those dimensions...drill it with an internal overflow...and diy sump/stand/canopy....

im looking for anyone thats built thier own tanks and throw me any pointers in building one or would i be better off ordering one custom built.

Check with Bad Coffee or Tosiek, they've both built tanks .

And go with an external overflow if you build yourself, it'll save you enormous amounts of space in the tank.
