cal. reactor question?

what would be the best and most accurate way to know if there is enough calcium is coming out the reactor?

i tested my water yesterday and it read 460 cal. but the alk was off the chart! well over 1500!!! how can i fix the alk with out messing up the amount of cal. going into the tank?

to adjust a cal cal reactor, you must first know its capabilities then take a sample of the effluent and test the alk from there, from there you make your adjustments. btw the alk reading you posted doesn't sound right, it sounds more like a mag test result than alk.
