How Long Would It Take Before I Could Put My Crabs Back In The Tank? Does It Kill Snails? Are These Red Bugs? They Look Yellow In Other Pics I Seen. Mine Actually Look Red.

in the first shot it's hard to tell, the second one it does look like they could be bugs.
in person they look yellow or red and they move around a lot.

interceptor won't kill snails, it will kill all kinds of pods, shrimp, and crabs.
after the last treatment i would do a couple of large water changes and run a whole bunch of carbon. a week after my second treatment I noticed a bunch of copepods running around, so some did make it, i took that as a good sign that the interceptor had been taken out of the water. this was in my frag tank though, so there was not much rock work for it to get into and possibly become trapped.

Whatsup Jonathan. Yea These Little Bastards Move Around Alot. When I First Noticed Them They Were Only On The Coral In The Pic. Now I'm Starting To Notice Them On Some Of My Other Sps.. I'm Going To Try And Pull Out As Many Crabs As I Can In The Next Week Or So. So How Do I Use These Pills? I Need More Then One Treatment? How Long Should I Wait Before I Do Water Changes And Run Carbon? I Have Too Many Sps Corals, So I Have No Choice But To Treat My Main Tank.

Interceptor Reef Usage

your in luck andy, I just got a six pack of the pills.
I think one or two pills will treat your tank. what's the total amount of gallons you have?
I did two treatments, that worked for me, but the people who discovered the cure recommend three treatments.
Pull out as many crabs as you can and make up some fresh salt water, enough for a 20% change, more will be better. you also need to pull all the carbon and any other filter media off the tank, and shut off your skimmer. the treatment lasts for six hours. it takes about five hours to wipe out the bugs. after six hours do your water change and run as much carbon as you can. if you can I would change more water the next day and change the carbon. wait a week and repeat. then if you feel you need it treat one more time in another week. we'll figure out the dosage when you get the total water volume.

I was always aware that you should not pull out your crabs and other inverts for the reason that redbugs could be on them and by re-introducing them to treated tank, u are putting bugs back in! Also, you should leave all the equipment that touches the water on so no bugs are hiding there. I know I hate to lose crabs and other inverts but, if you want to eradicate the bugs, you should leave them in there.

we can thank Eric Borneman, he did the research and posted it on RC, it's buried in one of his threads.

I fought my red bugs by removing my SPS from the tank and medicating it in a QT, the tank was without sps for a month. the one thing you need to make of if you try this method is to make sure there are no sps frags hidden in the tank, just one would keep the bugs alive, them wham you have them all over again. I had it easy, my sps were mostly frags mounted on smaller rocks. if you have colonies growing on your live rock this method won't work that well.

No. How Much Should I Use? I Have A Total Of About 105 Gallons.

I have to get the dosage for you.

I know for a fact that someone figured out a salifert blue measuring spoon will treat 30 gallons. So you could crush up a pill into very fine powder and use 3 1/2 spoons.
mix it with a cup of RO water.
