Joe, lights are one of the most important components of the reef. You dont want anything that is underpowered. If you are going with fish only it will do. For the money there is better though. If you are going with a full blown reef you will fail with these lights. Simply underpowered. Like the others said stick to name brands. In regards to watts, people basically told me to go 250w and up. That will ofcourse depend on the height of your tang. If your tank is over 30" tall you will have to go over 400w. Just a guideline.
